Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross branch WEA is running four 10-week courses during the autumn at the Memorial Centre.

Starting on Monday in the morning, Dr Premen Addy discusses the Middle East - A Recent History, and in the afternoon Elizabeth Richardson presents The World of Spying and Treachery Seen Through the Writer's Eye.

From October 2, in the afternoons, Nicola Lowe will talk about 19th-century art and society. On Friday mornings, from October 3, Gill Smith will run a series on Writing for Yourself and Others. For information call David Greenwood on 01753 882 874.
