French Horn plans stall

Posted by Greg Burns on Oct 22, 08 11:49 AM in People

GX-French-Horn-Pub.jpgPlans to redevelop the former French Horn pub in Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross, have been withdrawn by developers.
A planning application was for ten dwellings with integral garages, car parking and new access and was withdrawn from South Bucks District Council.
The closure of the pub, in March this year, caused uproar among residents.

We'd like to hear from you.

I cautiously welcome this as Great News ! but wonder if it just means we'll be left with a boarded up eye sore for years to come ? Whilst I would rejoice at this historic hostalry site being returned to use as a public house, sadly I doubt that will happen ? and perhaps a better funded developer will just step in where this one has failed and redesign a set of flats that gain council approval - but not until we've had to put up with that hideous hoarding for many many more months to come .......
