Parky pops into Gerrards Cross
Television legend Sir Michael Parkinson paid a visit to Gerrards Cross at the weekend to sign copies of his new autobiography.
Sir Michael, 73, popped into the Gerrards Cross Bookshop in Packhorse Road to meet customers and to autograph copies of his book, Parky: My Autobiography.
The former chat show host and Radio 2 presenter stayed in the shop for around an hour and a half, and signed almost 200 copies of the book.
Janet Stewart, manager of the shop, said: "We were very lucky to have him here. I think we were the only independent bookshop in this area that he visited so it was fantastic that he agreed to come here. He was lovely. He was very polite and charming to all the customers and he signed loads of copies.
"We were absolutely packed out with people and we were really pleased with the turnout."
