A pensioner is planning on fighting Waitrose's application to build a supermarket in Gerrards Cross because he believes the store will block access to properties he owns.
Ian Bedford Leno, 85, of Wapseys Lane, Hedgerley, owns 38 and 38A, Oak End Way, which the store will back on to.

The properties are currently rented from Mr Leno by a funeral directors and a dentist's surgery, but Mr Leno says that he has studied Waitrose's application and is convinced that the new store will block the right of way to his properties.
Mr Leno has owned the freehold on the buildings since 1954, and he says that this allows his tenants vehicular and pedestrian access to the properties.
He said: "The application is completely unacceptable. When the plans were submitted I was concerned how the store would affect my properties because of the fact that it backs on to Oak End Way. When I studied the plans I saw that they clearly show a lorry turn table which will completely obstruct the right of way I have enjoyed since I acquired my freehold in 1954.
"I have fought before for this right of way and I will fight this. In 1965, there was an injunction in my favour when a man who owned a garage along the road was blocking my access, so I will fight Waitrose like I fought him."
The plans were submitted by developers Frontier Estates last month and show that a 31,500 sq ft shop including 31 residential apartments is planned.
South Bucks District Council will make a decision on the store at a forthcoming meeting of the planning committee.
