Fears over Gerrards Cross vandalism

22075361 TVP.jpgConcerns have increased in Gerrards Cross that Chalfont St Peter's anti-social behaviour problem has found its way into the village.
Shortly after the New Year a restaurant in Packhorse Road was vandalised, which has led to fears in the area that the yobs who have caused problems in Chalfont St Peter in recent months have moved on to Gerrards Cross.

On January 3, between 1am and 8am, bricks were thrown through three windows at the Wildwood pub, which recently reopened after the Packhorse closed down last year.
Damage was done to two windows in the restaurant area of the pub and to one in the bar section.
Police in Chalfont St Peter began a crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the village before Christmas and there were concerns at the time that this would lead to an increase in Gerrards Cross.
A resident of the village who asked not to be named, said: "This seems to confirm that things are getting worse in this village. Since police in Chalfont started moving youths on, we seem to be having more and more problems here.
"I feel sorry for Wildwood because they have not been open for all that long. It is a terrible shame that mindless idiots thought it would be a good idea to cause this damage. It is quite depressing to live in an area where this sort of thing is happening more and more often."
One of the windows has now been replaced, but the other two need require a different type of glass so have not yet been fully fixed.
If you have any information on the incident, call the police on 0845 8 505 505, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
