Max-Baldry.jpgA pupil at Gayhurst School enjoyed another taste of the world of showbusiness last week when he starred in a BBC radio play.
Max Baldry, 13, had a major role in the play A Prayer for Owen Meany, which was broadcast every afternoon on Radio 4 last week.
Max played the part of Johnnie in the play of the John Irving novel about two boys growing up together in America in the 1950s and 60s.

His mother Carina said: "This was a great part for Max and he really enjoyed being in the play. He has been interested in acting ever since he was a little boy and he has been told that he has the potential to carry on with it as an adult, so he really enjoyed taking part in the production."
The role is not the first time that Max has tasted success.
He also played a young Russian boy in Mr Bean's Holiday and starred as Cleopatra and Julius Caesar's son in the BBC production of Rome.
As well as this, he has worked in the National Theatre and done voice over work in several animated films.
