GX flower club greet special guest

The village flower club welcomed a national judge to their first meeting of the new year.
Margaret Rumens attended the meeting last month, and displayed six flower arrangements on the stage at the Colston Hall.
The competition was won by Elizabeth Legge in the novice class, Janet Chambers in the intermediate section and Carol Cooknell in the advanced level.
The next meeting will take place at the memorial centre in East Common on February 16 at 2.15pm and will feature a demonstration entitled The Garden from Jackie Watson.
