Uganda children to benefit from BP Collins fundraising
A Gerrards Cross legal firm is aiming to raise money for underprivileged children in Uganda.
BP Collins is supporting a charity race night in the village, organised by Janet and Beth Gaukroger, a mother and daughter team from Cross Lanes, Chalfont St Peter.
The event is set to raise funds for the Making A Difference charity, which helps to provide a series of projects for children in the Ugandan capital of Kampala.
Mrs Gaukroger said: "We're delighted to have BP Collins working with us. Their generous support in running this event will help us realize our goal of providing 40 care givers from various projects in Kampala with the opportunity for a brief retreat in April - no work for a few days, good food and rest and training to better equip them for working with children."
The race night tales place on Friday, March 20 at 7pm and is being held at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Hall in East Common.
Tickets cost £12.50 and include a curry dinner, and can be bought by calling 01753 279006.
