Heusden Road a 'dumping ground' for porn and drugs
Residents of a road in Gerrards Cross continue to be angered at the behaviour of truck drivers who use their street as a layby and a dumping ground.
People who live in Heusden Road off the A40 have put up with the problem for years and are now demanding that something is done about it because they feel that they cannot continue to live in the squalid conditions.
Over the years, they have found excrement left there in plastic bags, as well as discarded pornography, used condoms and drug paraphernalia.
They have spoken repeatedly with Bucks County Council and the Highways Association about installing width restrictions at both ends of the road to stop lorries pulling in there, but have now been told that there may not be money available to pay for such a scheme.
Jeremy Morton, who lives in the road, said: "There are five houses along here and some of them have young children. I know that one family has a teenage daughter who they do not allow to walk around the house because of the things that go on here. What sort of situation is that to live in?
"My garden looks into the road and I have found bags of this stuff there in the past. Our road is used as a dumping ground and we are all completely sick to death of it.
"We pay a hell of a lot of money to live in Gerrards Cross. If I wanted to live in conditions like this then I'd move to Hackney."
Mr Morton has had meetings and email correspondence with members of Bucks County Council but has now been told that there may well not be funds available in the 2009/10 budget and the restrictions might have to be paid for by residents.
Mr Morton added: "Why should we have to pay for it? This is something that should be sorted out by the authorities, not by residents."

Drugs and condoms?? Somehow i think thats a little beyond a trucker taking his break, dont tar everyone with the same brush. I've seen a lot more than just trucks parked there.

Yes, there is a problem in Huesden Way. One resident gave me a number of incidents that had happened, some very unpleasant. At that time I was still their District Councillor and I was in the process of putting together a solution with Bucks County Council when I lost my seat in the May.
I am really surprised that nothing further appears to have been done, particularly as their current District Councillor resides there.
