Maltmans girls help raise awareness of liver disease

GX-Liver.jpgGirls at Maltmans Green School took part in a nation wide event to help children with liver disease.
Pupils at the school in Maltmans Lane got involved in the Children's Liver Disease Foundation's Big Yellow Friday event last week.
Girls decorated yellow rubber gloves to raise money for the charity, which funds research into the causes and treatment of childhood liver disease.

The event at the school came about because a former pupil's mother is a trustee of the charity and asked if the school would be able to take part in fundraising.
On Friday, representatives from the group came along to the school to talk about the work that the charity does and to judge which girl had done the best job in decorating the gloves.
Catherine Arkley, of the foundation, said: "Big Yellow Friday was a huge success and a lot of fun for everyone while raising funds for our work.
"We thank each and every individual who embraced Big Yellow Friday."

We'd like to hear from you.
