A Level success at Chalfonts Community College
STUDENTS at the Chalfonts Community College enjoyed another great year of A Level results this year.
Pupils at the school in Narcot Lane acheived a 97 per cent pass rate, with 44 per cent of them gaining grades A or B.
In subjects including Maths, Geography, History and Business Studies, 100 per cent of the pupils achieved passes.
Amy Murphy, 18, was one of the top scoring pupils with three A grades in Philosophy, Psychology and Art, and is now set to start a Law degree at Southampton University.
She said; "I'm really happy and releived. I was nervous before the results but it's great to have them now. I think it also shows that you don't need to go to a grammar school and pass the 11 plus in order to get good results. It proves that it doesn't matter what school you go to."
Sue Tanner, prinicipal of the school, said: "I am really proud of all or students and their fantastic achivements. My warmest congratualtions go out to all of them and to the staff who helped them."
