A SUCCESSFUL Gerrards Cross businessman is giving young entrepreneurs the chance to pitch ideas to him via a social networking site.
Simon Dolan, who is one of the UK's leading businessmen thanks to the accountancy firm which he established, has come up with the Tweet a Pitch idea, which will give budding entrepreneurs the ability to pitch ideas to him in 140 characters or less on internet phenomenon Twitter.

RESIDENTS of Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross were shocked this week to see a flock of green parrots flying over their homes.
The birds, which are natives of Australia, were seen flying over the Lovel End area of Chalfont St Peter and near to Packhorse Road in Gerrards Cross on Friday last week.
Residents who saw the strange sight have since contacted the Advertiser to tell of their discovery.

RESIDENTS across South Bucks are being urged to recycle following the installation of new bins across the area.
South Bucks District Council (SBDC) are encouraging people to help the environment by disposing of their empty drinks cans and plastic bottles in new on-street recycling bins.
Across the district, 13 special bins with separate slots for mixed paper and card, drinks cans, food tins and plastic bottles are being installed in town and village centres.

A MAN from Iver has been jailed along with the rest of his gang for a series of robberies across Buckinghamshire and other counties earlier this year.
Matthew Stevens, 20, of Mansion Lane, as well as Darren Chadband, 39, Luke Cox, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all found guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence at Reading Crown Court on Friday, September 18.

Guests flocked to the Ethorpe Hotel in Packhorse Road for Macmillan Cancer Support's annual World's Largest Coffee Morning.
The event sees organisations across the UK drinking coffee and eating snacks all at the same time, with all money raised from proceedings going to the charity.

A RETIRED police officer who fought off assassins trying to kill the Israeli ambassador has tasted a new kind of success by helping England win the world bridge championships.
Colin Simpson, who lives in Fulmer, was a member of the England seniors team which beat other countries from across the world to win the championships, which this year took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
