Huge coffee morning raises cash

GERRARDS Cross residents took part in a national coffee morning in order to raise funds for charity.
Guests flocked to the Ethorpe Hotel in Packhorse Road for Macmillan Cancer Support's annual World's Largest Coffee Morning.
The event sees organisations across the UK drinking coffee and eating snacks all at the same time, with all money raised from proceedings going to the charity.

The event, which took place on Friday morning, saw people pouring into the hotel to enjoy home made cakes and jam, as well as being pampered by beauty products.
Pat Chapman, a fund raiser from the village, said: "The Ethorpe is a new venue for our coffee morning and we have been delighted with just how popular it was and very grateful to the hotel staff for being so helpful."
The event raised more than £500 for Macmillan and will help people who have to live with cancer.
