New recycling bins across county
RESIDENTS across South Bucks are being urged to recycle following the installation of new bins across the area.
South Bucks District Council (SBDC) are encouraging people to help the environment by disposing of their empty drinks cans and plastic bottles in new on-street recycling bins.
Across the district, 13 special bins with separate slots for mixed paper and card, drinks cans, food tins and plastic bottles are being installed in town and village centres.
It is hoped that by installing these new bins, residents will be even more likely to recycle than they currently are.
Bill Lidgate, SBDC's portfolio holder for the environment, said: "The introduction of these recycling litter bins means it is now almost as easy for people to recycle when they are out shopping as it is at home.
"South Bucks residents already recycle over a third of their waste and we are always looking to introduce ways to help residents recycle more.
"Introducing litter bins is another way we are improving our environment."
