Thieves stealing wheels from BMWs across South Bucks

Police are asking owners of BMWs to be on their guard after the theft of a number of wheels from BMWs across South Bucks.


The thefts are taking place at night, with thieves placing bricks under the car to remove the wheels, and the astounded owners waking the next day to find their car undriveable.
Lucy Groves, Thames Valley Police Crime Reduction Adviser, said: "In most cases they can do this without activating the vehicle alarm. They are extremely quick and quiet in doing this.
"There is no lighting or CCTV at the houses they are targeting and, although most BMWs have locking wheel nuts, these criminals have the specialist keys to undo them."
