Man to run three marathons in three months

Posted by Jack Abell on Dec 7, 09 03:56 PM in Good Causes

A GERRARDS Cross man is set to undertake three marathons in three months next year in order to raise money for charity.
James Ineson, who last year completed the London Marathon, is currently training to run in Rome in March, London again in April and Edinburgh in May.

He is also hoping to run in the New York Marathon towards the end of 2010.
Mr Ineson is hoping to raise funds for the Children with Leukaemia charity, for which he raised £5177 by running last year's London Marathon.
He said: "While most people are starting to enjoy the Christmas period of eating and drinking and over indulging, I am having to watch myself as I have just started my training.
"I have decided to run for Children with Leukaemia, as my grandmother died of the disease when I was younger and it as tough for all the people close to her, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for families with children suffering from the disease at this time of year."
Mr Ineson hopes to raise more than £10,000 just at this year's London marathon, where his brother will be running alongside him.
He is currently running around 40 miles every week as training, and is soon set to take part in the Watford half marathon in order to improve his fitness.
