FOR Tom Hampton, being called up as the England cricket team's 12th man for a game at Lord's must have been a dream come true.
However, a comical moment during a warm up session before the second day of England's crucial test match against India saw slow motion replays of the 20-year-old colliding running into a bucket of paint being broadcast on Sky Sports and posted on You Tube.

A FIRM has been hit with a hefty fine after after an employee's arm was torn off by a huge industrial corkscrew while he worked at a plant in Gerrards Cross.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) prosecuted London Concrete Ltd following an incident which saw a manager accidentally turn on an auger, a large corkscrew machine which is used for moving materials from one level to another, while it was being repaired at a factory in Oxford Road.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man stole a cash cassette as it was being delivered to a bank in Gerrards Cross yesterday (July 26).

PUPILS at Tilehouse School in Denham collectively swam the equivalent of the distance across the English Channel.
Children at the school in Nightingale Lane swam a total of 30 miles in a sponsored event on Wednesday, July 13 which raised cash for their school.

A HISTORIC sculpture depicting the invasion of Great Britain by Julius Caesar and the Roman army could be moved from its home in Stoke Poges.
The sculpture, entitled The Landing of Julius Caesar in Britain, by the sculptor John Deare, dates back to 1796 and is currently in the Stoke Poges Manor House.

TWO masked men used a lump of concrete to smash their way into a petrol station in Denham at the weekend.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, July 2 and the robbers made off with a large amount of cigarettes.

A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered serious leg injuries after being he collided with a four by four in Chalfont St Peter which failed to stop.
The 19-year-old motorbike rider was on a red Honda bike and was travelling on the A413 at Gravel Hill towards Amersham when he collided with a dark coloured four by four vehicle travelling in the opposite direction at around 10.50pm last night (Thursday).

A TODDLER has been seriously injured and is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Gerrards Cross last night (Thursday).
The incident happened at about 7.30pm at the rear of Barclay's Bank in Station Approach.
