Colne Valley Festival to take place this weekend
The popular Colne Valley Festival is taking place this Sunday.
Large crowds are expected to attend the event, due to go ahead at Denham Country Park in Denham Court Drive.
Visitors can enjoy fairground rides, boat rides on the canal, craftsmen showing off their skills, face painting and a flight simulator.
Adventurous youngsters will also be able to take part in pond dipping and to see animals in a petting zoo.
Sarah Hodgett, the park's visitor centre officer, said: "This is always a great event, which attracts a couple of thousand people every year.
"There will be loads going on throughout the day, and there is free entry as well, so hopefully the sun will shine and people will come along and see what is going on.
"We will be running boats to and from Uxbridge as well so people can come to the park that way.
"On top of all the attractions, there will also be stalls run by people from the area, a number of different exhibitions throughout the day, and live music from different bands and singers."
The event takes place from 11am to 4pm, and car parking for the event costs £2.50.
There will also be a chance for visitors to wander the park and see woodland and open space areas there, as well as enjoying the various walking routes.
Miss Hodgett added: "There will be loads of things for people to enjoy.
"If they want to simply wander around the park then they are welcome to do that, or they can get involved with all the attractions at the festival. We are all really looking forward to it."
