CAMPAIGNERS who are trying to have a patch of woodland reclassified as a village green to protect it from developers say it would be 'a tragedy' if it was ever built on.
Jackie Edington and Robert Leschhorn of South Park Drive, Gerrards Cross are fighting to get a 19-acre patch of woodland between their homes and the A413 reclassified as woodland by Bucks County Council to stop potential developers building homes on it.
A LARGE new extension could soon be built at a prominent Bucks hotel.
The Bull Hotel, in Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross applied for planning permission to South Bucks District Council to build a basement leisure facility, a ground floor function suite and first and second floor bedrooms in 2009.

Traffic signals in Packhorse Road in Gerrards Cross which were put in place outside the Tesco supermarket when it opened in November 2010 will be re-synchronised to ease the traffic flow.
Major work is set to be carried out on Packhorse Road next week as part of Bucks County Council's road repair campaign.
The work will be carried out on Monday and Tuesday and will involve replacing the existing surfacing to provide a better surface.
The resurfacing will take place overnight because of the high volume of traffic on the road during the day.
It will mean that the road will be closed between 7pm and 6am each night.
PEOPLE in Buckinghamshire have told the county council that they want to see improvements in roads, economic growth and a focus on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, a new survey has found.
The council carried out the survey last year and have now released the results of it.

THE Olympic torch is set to come to South Bucks following anger that the area was left off the list of original locations it was set to visit on its UK tour.
