THE CONTROVERSIAL decision six months ago to burn waste from Bucks outside the county in the future has hit problems and the county council is having to put the job back out to tender.

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE County Council (BCC) has claimed that it is "pulling out all the stops" to ease the area's pothole problem, despite the continued anger of residents.
The unforeseen harsh winter weather, especially that which took place in late December and early January, took a huge toll on the road s in the area, with deep potholes appearing in numerous roads in the county.

This is a list of planning applications registered with South Bucks District Council during the week ended 29th January 2010. Many of these applications will not be heard at Planning Committee, but, rather, will be decided by Officers under the Scheme of Delegation operated by the Council.

THE BIG thaw that has taken place this week has revealed the true extent of the county's pothole problems.
Heavy snow in December, followed by even more at the beginning of January, has caused huge and dangerous potholes to emerge on roads throughout Bucks, to the horror of drivers.

A DILAPIDATED pub in Denham could soon be renovated to the delight of residents in the area.
The Inn on the Green which is in North Orbital Road, could be turned into a new site comprising of four shops, a neighbourhood police office, and 36 apartment blocks.

Body found near M40

THE body of a man was found in Denham this week near to a busy motorway.
The grim discovery was made by police on Tuesday at a slip road at Junction One of the M40 at 12.16pm.

A ROOF fire at a house in Denham was prevented from spreading due to the quick thinking 0f fire fighters at the scene.
Crews from Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and Hillingdon were called to Old Mill Road shortly before 8am on Saturday, January 9.

Salt supplies are so low in Bucks that the council will be able to grit only emergency routes tonight, the council said this afternoon.

Snow causes traffic chaos

DRIVERS across Buckinghamshire have faced nightmare journeys as the county experienced some of its worst snowfall in recent memory.
On Monday afternoon, heavy snow began to fall for the second time in a week, resulting in roads that had been starting to thaw out freezing up again.

CONCERN in Gerrards Cross is growing over what could happen to the proposed new Waitrose store in Station Road.
Last month, South Bucks District Council (SBDC) gave permission to developers Frontier Estates to build a supermarket at the site.
